Job Title:  Pastoral Worker / Ministry Assistant

Summary:  In conjunction with the Rector and lay ministry coordinators, the Pastoral Worker will be involved in the planning, implementation, and administration of a wide range of Christian ministries, including (but not limited to) prayer and healing, young people and their families, hospitality, pastoral visiting, and men’s ministry.

Key Responsibilities: To assist the Rector and lay ministry coordinators with:

  • the furtherance of the existing ministries of the Church;
  • the development of new pastoral ministries;
  • the implementation of new pastoral ministries;
  • the administration of pastoral ministries;
  • the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers for pastoral ministries.

Line Manager: The Rector.

Skills & Qualifications: Any relevant training and/or experience.

Type of Employment:  Part-Time, 16 hours per week, including some Sundays.  This position may be job-shared for 8 hours per week.  One-year contract, extendable for up to a further two years by mutual agreement.

Remuneration: The rate of pay offered is £10 per hour, amounting to £8,320 per year.
